• Factory Stax

Factory Stax is a new kind of institute built for the computational age. Our mission is to develop the capability required to build, operate, and reason about modern intelligent systems. These systems span far beyond simple coding exercises: they involve distributed compute, inference pipelines, model architectures, GPU topology, orchestration, scaling, and real operational constraints. While most education focuses on theory without application, or credentials without capability, we train people to build systems that actually run.

The next generation of intelligent software is being written by people who understand how machines think, how compute scales, and how data moves. Our goal is to expand who has access to that level of capability — especially those who do not thrive inside traditional academic structures.

      The Problem

Most people interested in modern AI run into a gap: research papers teach math, universities teach theory, bootcamps teach coding, and online courses teach tooling. Few environments teach the operational reality of intelligent systems — where compute, data, architectures, orchestration, and deployment all collide. This leaves companies without enough people who can build or reason about these systems end-to-end.

Meanwhile, many of the minds best suited for this work do not succeed in traditional classrooms optimized for compliance, executive function, and standardized pacing. They learn by building, by experimenting, by connecting patterns, by going deep into the machinery. Factory Stax is designed for those people.

      Who This Is For

Factory Stax welcomes unconventional thinkers, obsessive learners, autodidacts, late bloomers, and neurodivergent builders. If you think in systems, learn by pulling problems apart, get frustrated by shallow tutorials, prefer understanding how things actually work, or simply never fit inside the academic box — you are in the right place.

We also serve engineers and researchers who already work in software, data, or ML but want deeper architectural literacy around compute, deployment, distributed training, scaling, and inference pipelines.

      How We Teach

Our curriculum blends conceptual clarity with hands-on labs, operational reasoning, and competency-based progression. Students build working systems, instrument them, deploy them, test them, monitor them, break them, and observe how they behave under load. We teach how systems fail, how they scale, how they interact with hardware, and how architectural choices impact performance and complexity.

Instead of relying on lectures alone, we provide the underlying mental models and computational primitives necessary to understand why modern AI infrastructure looks the way it does, and how to build the next wave of systems more intelligently.

      Program Structure

Factory Stax offers a three-tier structure designed to meet learners at their current level and grow them toward capability:

Foundation Track: establishes computational literacy, architecture fundamentals, distributed thinking, model mechanics, and the map of the modern AI stack.

Engineering Track: focuses on building production-adjacent systems including inference APIs, data pipelines, training loops, orchestration, scaling, packaging, and deployment.

Research Fellowship: reserved for deep topology thinkers who want to push the frontier in model design, training efficiency, hardware-aware architectures, and new intelligent system paradigms.

      Join Us

Our mission is to expand who gets to build the world’s intelligent systems — and to ensure they have the tools, knowledge, and compute to do it well. We measure success not by credentials, but by capability. If you are ready to learn, ready to build, and ready to think differently, Factory Stax is here for you.
